My wife does the cooking for the most part. I can and will cook anything she can. BUT the division of labor worked out that she is the master at the moment. Most of the cooking investment is, as your husband found, in finding all the ingredients.
Good point re: the recent (and current) sh%$show. I was trying to be diplomatic. ;)
And I agree about cooking. I always practice mis en place (putting all ingredients out on the counter first), along with all the tools, so that the final mixing, blending, etc. takes as little time as possible. My hubby still hasn't figured that one out.
